Overview
- Search the Howling Maw landscape for the Strider called Vulcanus and destroy it. There is no precise location for Vulcanus, so some searching will be required. More than likely it'll find YOU. Return to Sergeant Fonseca at the Howling Maw front-lines once completed.
- NOTE: The name is miss-spelled in the mission. The actual name is Volcanus.

Dialogues
[edit] Briefing
Sergeant Fonseca:
- All Striders are a major pain in the ass, but there's one called Vulcanus that particularly needs destroyin'!
- I've blown up probably thousands of these Striders lumbering around this crap-hole, but I've never been able to take out the one called Vulcanus. It's a bit bigger, a bit tougher, and a whole lot uglier than the other Striders you'll find out here.
- Tell ya what - if you happen to come across Vulcanus, and don't crap yourself when you do, then do us all a favor and take it out. Come back to me if you're successful. If you're not, I'll be sure to find your dog-tags and notify your next of kin... that is if you have any.
[edit] Interim
Sergeant Fonseca:
- Still haven't found Vulcanus, eh? Don't worry, it'll soon find you.
[edit] Debriefing
