The Tissue Extractor is a tool that can be used by anyone with training in Genetics to harvest Nucleotides from dead biological enemies.

The tissue extractor uses Power Cells for ammunition.

Usage Edit

To use the tissue extractor, stand within 5 meters of a dead biological enemy, then click primary fire. After a few seconds the harvest will be complete and the harvested items will be added to the players inventory. Items that are extracted can be used later to craft items with the correct schematics.

The tissue extractor can only be used on biological targets. It can not be used on critters.

The major limiting factor on the usefulness of these materials is the current implementation of the crafting system: the only way to turn these nucleotides into pharmaceuticals (or anything else) is to get a random recipe drop, which will only process 100 or 250 at a time. Since recipes are one-use only, this makes the tissue extractor (and to a lesser degree, the salvage tool) impractical.

Products Edit

Level Extracted Amount
1 Pyramidine Nucleotides Pyramidine Nucleotides 3-9
2 Purine Nucleotides Purine Nucleotides 3-9
3 Base Pair Nucleotides Base Pair Nucleotides 3-7
4 RNA Nucleotides RNA Nucleotides 3-8
5 DNA Nucleotides DNA Nucleotides 3-7

The skill level of the player determines what items are extracted. As one may expect, each level unlocks the corresponding level of nucleotides. The harvest is cumulative, so a level 5 extraction will give items of all five nucleotides.

Note: The amounts listed are based on limited testing. The actual ranges are most likely larger.
