Overview[]
- Go north of Gangus Outpost to Death Burrows and take soil samples from Infected Soil Mounds. Return to Gangus Outpost and insert the samples into the Gangus Main Computer for analysis.

Briefing[]
- I need you to gather soil samples of infected terrain that contains similar properties found in the Infected blood you've gathered.
- Recent scans have informed us that a large area north of here contains compromised soil that seems to contain many of the properties that were found in the blood of the Infected Mox and Infected Foreans. We'll need samples of this soil to determine if this infection is spread similar to radioactive fallout or a byproduct of something else.
- Go to the region known as the Death Burrows north of Gangus Outpost. There you'll find mounds of infected soil spread around the area. These mounds seem to have a hard outer shell, so you'll need to destroy the shell in order to gather soil samples from them. But be careful around there; we also scanned a high concentration of Infected creatures in that area. So far Humans are safe from contracting the Infection, but those Infected creatures might still look at you like their next meal. Tread carefully.
- When you return, insert the soil samples into the main computer behind me for analysis. Good luck.

Walkthrough[]
Make your way northward to the waypoint just at the south end of the Death Burrows. At this location you should see several little destructable mounds of dirt. Destroy them and you can loot a soil sample. (Note that auto-looting does not work.) Once you have collected all five, return to the room where Colonel Sherk stands and interact with the terminal. Turn around and talk to Sherk to complete the mission.
