The Sniper is a character class specialized in long range attacks.

In-game description:

"This military marksman is master of the rifle, long ranged warfare, and striking from cover. Delivering devastating surprise attacks on hostiles, these weapon experts are the scourge of the enemy.

Any squad looking for someone to soften up the enemy before openly engaging them should seek out the Sniper."
