A Pump in Tabula Rasa refers to the level of a Skill. Both types of Skills, Abilities and Trainings, are referred to in this way. Using the term Pump helps to prevent confusion between Skill level and character level.
Usage[]
A Pump is usually referred to by its number. If you were talking about level 3 of the Sapper Ability Ruin, you could say something like "Ruin at pump 3 is awesome!". It can also used as a verb to describe the action of increasing the level of a Skill. If you were talking about increasing Ruin to level 5 you could say something like "I've pumped Ruin to 5 and it's much better!".
