[edit] Overview

Pools is a battlefield zone located on the Valverde continent of planet Foreas. Recommended character level is between 31 and 36. The Valverde Pools is a beautiful area of steep cliffs, rushing streams, cascading falls, and of course, pools. However, for the AFS and its allies, this is a difficult zone to maintain. Supplies are scarce, and often battles are more raids for supplies than true campaign objectives.

The main AFS base in the area is nicknamed "The Snakepit", partially for its hole-in-the-wall appearance, and partial for its crazy commander, Colonel 'Snake' Washington. In the northwest, you can find a concentration of the Retreads. Bane bases are found in the southwest and northeast, with control point bases between these. The AFS has established an underground listening post not far from the northeastern Bane base, and a small underground base in the south to serve as launching point for soldiers headed into two of the instances. Pools is also one of the first two locations a soldier may encounter the springing Maw, so watch your step!
