Penumbra Agent Earhardt:

One of the life forms the Bane use as conscripts are the Amoeboids. They are single-celled organisms on an unimaginably large scale. That they exist at all is a miracle.

Contained within the body, or "meta-cell", of an Amoeboid are colonies of microorganisms, quite independant, but symbiotic. Ther are essentially infectious agents -- pathogens, if you will. Yet the "disease" they cause to the host cell doesn't damage it, but rather, allows it to survive and even thrive. But this pathogen is deadly to other lifeforms, and thus it serves as their primary method of attack.

We're fascinated by the potential of this pathogen and we'd like some samples for further study. We'd like you to collect a number of the pseudopods that the creatures use to launch the pathogen at their enemies. We'll need at least a dozen of them.
