Item0454 Dialogue[]

Briefing[]

Yorma Brown:

"We're not soldiers. but we're trying to help the AFS in any way we can. Our current project involves adapting the ground-penetrating sonar system we use for archeological digs as a long range scanner. It might help track Bane troop movements."
"Trouble is, we're having trouble calibrating it. There's a native animal called the Boargar that uses sonar, kind of like the bats back on Earth. High-pitched and ultrasonic energy fouls up the sensitive calibrating equipment. There are a lot of Boargar in the immediate area, rooting around in the trees looking for grubs. The biggest of them I've nicknamed Shahrbaraz.... You get it? "Shahrbaraz".... Not much of a history buff I guess."
"Anyways, if you could help get rid of Shahrbaraz and some of more of his smaller cousins, should give us time to calibrate the instruments."

Debriefing[]

Yorma Brown:

"That did it! We finally managed to get our instruments calibrated. We can filter out the noise from the Boargar now, and get a clear signal. We are in your debt!"

Item0473 Walkthrough[]

The Boargar and Shahrbaraz can be found up near the Eloh Artifact northwest of Cumbria Research Facility. The path up can be found by traveling north out of Cumbria Research Facility
