[edit] Modules
- Main article: module
Weapons, armor or tools can have up to 4 modules attached to it adding special bonuses to each item.
There are 3 groups of modules - one for each equipment type (weapon, armor, tool) and they cannot be interchanged.
There are 5 levels of modules ranging from level 1 (grey) with lowest bonuses to level 5 (red) with highest bonuses.
[edit] Extraction
Primary source of modules is extraction from items. The costs for extracting a module is 1
Mimeomech for each level of the module.
Level 5 and Set modules cannot be extracted.
[edit] Upgrades
You can upgrade extracted modules at crafting station to higher level. You cannot downgrade modules to lower level in any way and if you find yourself in a need of lower module level, you have to find it elsewhere.
| Level | Upgrade cost |
|---|---|
| 1 | 1 |
| 2 | 5 |
| 3 | 20 |
| 4 | 100 |
| 5 | max |
[edit] Integration
After you have an item with at least one empty slot and desired module you can integrate it back to appropriate item. The integration costs depends on level of the target item, quality (color) of target item, amount of already integrated modules on the target item, and level of the module you are integrating. The cost doesn't depend on level of already integrated modules.
Warning: Level 5 (red) modules cannot be extracted after integrated into the item.
[edit] Tips
When integrating modules, integrate higher level modules first.
It is generally better to remove all modules of lower level then the level of the module you are integrating and then reintegrate these modules. The cost for extracting and reintegrating lower level modules is lower then integrating high level module in the last slot. [verification needed!]
[edit] Notes
Item quality (color) affects how much mimeogel is needed for modifications.
Mimeomech is acquired by salvaging enhanced items or some junk loot items, which destroys those items in the process. Small amounts are used to extract modification components from enhanced items, which also decreases how much the item is worth for subsequent salvage. Mimeomech is also used to upgrade the modification parts themselves, each upgrade increases the rank of the mod by one.
Higher quality modifications require more mimeomech to apply to equipment. As opposed to previous system there is no chance of item loss.
