Insanity is a great crowd control ability. Whereas Frighten is useful for fearbombing enemies, Insanity will allow medics to essentially mind control susceptible mobs for a set duration of time based on how high your skill level is. The mind controlled enemy will then retarget any nearby adversaries and function as an NPC ally for the remainder of the skills duration. Mind Controlled units can not be damaged by any allies in its duration so it is unadvised to use this skill on targets near death.
Insanity can be spammed on multiple units. For best results target Elite units or Group leaders such as hunters so they can inflict maximum damage to their surrounding allies. Using Insanity on a Kael for instance can result in a very entertaining encounter.
