Kill and collect a skin sample from the Hominus Machina known as Rotting Sal and return them to Medical Officer Mayes. Rotting Sal is often found in the main battlefield trench.

- My current theory? The Bane are using all this biological material as augmentation matrixes for the creation of the Hominis Machina troops. I think they're playing fast and dirty with our DNA, and turning our own dead against us. But I think we can turn it right back on them ...
- Head out to the battlefield and locate the Hominis Machina the troops call 'Rotting Sal'. He's usually down by the main battle - that's where those bastards find the freshest supply of our dead. Bring me back a sample of his skin to study."
