Collect 12 Mox Crystals by hunting Mox in the Mox Lair to the west of Fort Defiance. Deliver the crystals to Senior Engineer Mauer at Fort Defiance High Command.

Senior Engineer Mauer:

We use crystals created in the digestive system of Mox to generate power, and we're running low. Can you hunt some down for me?

Here's the deal. Fort Defiance is the biggest AFS installation on Foreas, so we eat up a lot of power. There aren't a lot of fossil fuels available, so we've had to adapt. Our techs created a Piezoelectric Generator that runs on Mox Crystals. Trouble is, you can't mine them. Mox Crystals are created in the digestive system of the Mox, a pack animal native to this area.

There's a Mox lair right outside of the fort, in a cavern to the west. They can be dangerous, especially when they gang up on you. But an adult Mox can drop a crystal the size of a basketball. Bring me a dozen, and I'll make it worth your while. What do you say?

The Mox are found in front of and inside the cave marked on your map. Killing the Mox with turrets will make the crystals fail to drop.
