Ice damage - sometimes also called cryo(genic) damage or endothermic damage - is one of the 8 damage types in the game. It includes damage from "ice and other forms of extreme cold".

Ice damage is most effective against fully biological lifeforms. Ice damage is usually immune or is resisted by fully mechanical or heavily armored enemies. Ice damage is also the least effective against shielded lifeforms, or lifeforms that carry hand-held shields. However, ice damage has the chance to 'freeze' an enemy, preventing it from moving for a certain time.
