Control Scheme
From TaRapedia
Control Schemes are key and interface layouts which allow for different modes of gameplay. These schemes can be selected through the key bindings window (default key: O, then click the Key Binding tab). Two such schemes exist:
[edit] FPS Style
This scheme is enabled by default, and is designed to be consistent with the manner in which most FPS (first person shooter) games are played. In this mode:
- The weapon tray is on the left and the ability tray is on the right.
- The Q key cycles through the weapon tray, and the 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 keys can be used to select slots directly.
- The E key cycles through the ability tray, and the 6, 7, 8, 9 and 0 keys can be used to select slots directly.
- Abilities and items selected in the ability tray are used by right-clicking.
- The T key interacts with objects (ex. speaking with NPCs, opening crates).
[edit] MMO Style
This scheme is designed to be consistent with the manner in which most MMO (massively multiplayer online) games are played. In this mode:
- The ability tray is on the left and the weapon tray is on the right.
- The Q and E keys cycle forwards and backwards through the weapon tray, and the 6, 7, 8, 9 and 0 keys can be used to select slots directly.
- Abilities and items are used directly by pressing the 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 keys.
- The right mouse button interacts with objects (ex. speaking with NPCs, opening crates).
