Body armor - also known as armor level - is the numerical value that represents the strength of the armor that a character is wearing. This value is taken into account when calculating the damage that the player is taking from an attack.
Note: For this purpose body armor is sometimes considered a derived attribute, even though it is not derived from primary attributes.
