The Allied Free Sentient Forces or just Allied Free Sentients for short - commonly abbreviated AFS - is a rebel alliance of sentient species across the galaxy united by a common fearsome enemy: The Bane
The AFS includes the remains of the military forces of several planets that have been conquered by the Bane in the past, among others:
Together, these species fight a guerrilla war against the Bane, with the ultimate goal to defeat them and to win back the enslaved home planets.
